Project Description
Factory fit out of the previously owned BAE Chadderton site.
When NOV Mono decided to move their production facility from a collection of smaller disconnected units at Guide Bridge to a large single factory at the refurbished Satellite 360 development they chose the proven combination of Piggott and Whitfield working alongside Williams Tarr to deliver their ideal efficient solution.
Scope of Works
Our brief was to work alongside each of the identified production departments and assess the required service loads for the existing machinery being redeployed, new equipment being purchased and for the all the new overhead crane systems being installed.
Once assessed we were able to develop a 3d model of the whole facility which assisted PW in the complex co- ordination of the heavy services:
- 2500A and 1600A high level bus-bar systems
- 3MW steam boiler plant and distribution
- 12 x 18m3/S recirculation air handling units
- 300dia HP Gas mains
- 4 x 363cfm Compressed air systems
- High bay LED lighting
By utilising the model with the crane manufacturer and inserting Mono’s block machinery information we were able to provide the client and end user a visual 3d image of the completed facility which helped them to assess work flow strategies and program the necessary builders work for plinth, bases and trenches.
Completed to a very high standard the service at high (10M), mid (4M) and low level were connected to the factory equipment and production was shifted to the new facility in early 2015.
